a beautiful day for kayaking at jersey valley (enjoying my birthday/father’s day gift)! later, off in the distance, near the far shore we’d discover a large flock of geese which looked like they wanted to attack ( maybe nests nearby? ). we kept our distance though odin offered to video if I went closer. he thought the video might go viral.
pretty happy to be out kayaking with odin on father’s day. particularly pleased that he seems to enjoy hanging out with his old man even though he’s going to turn 13 years old in just a few weeks?!
the stooks ( aka shocks ) of straw ( probably on an amish farmer’s field ) make for a beautiful commute in the driftless region.
driving between new work digs and OV headquarters on a two lane country road with more amish buggies than cars and I had to stop. someone is going to tell me this is not alfalfa and I’m going to be embarrassed.
there’s a giant spinning tractor tire table at the new base of spiral staircase at new OV building and I’ve got a wide angle lens. sooooooo…
the lone brighter light at the top of the spiral staircase is mesmerizing.

landscaping is coming along at the new work digs! i spend some time every day in the fitness center with windows that face out on work being done on landscaping. there’s a nice, big patio and the rocks are framing what i believe will be a walking path around the campus. not sure where the employee gardens are going.

oh nothing, just painting a giant wall sized cow mural at our new work digs, as one does. and nooooo, i’m not painting the whole thing. all the employees have an opportunity to come paint as much or as little as they want. then artist valerie miller from steel cow goes over it and makes it look amazing.
