i’ve spent a lot of time in the lobby of hotels with hockey players and their parents but this is the first time i’ve ever seen a game called klask. apparently it’s a popular new game that was recently invented in denmark.
the kids and parents both seemed to enjoy it thought kris and i stuck to old school cribbage.
odin playing with a new xbox game and listening to tunes on new christmas gift beats headphones is very much channeling the teenage years that are hurtling toward us.
ironic, since nothing being played with was a xmas gift :-/
odin *thought* he was going to win with one tile left and a two point lead. after thinking i was out of options, i played LI-IT combo on lower left for 3 points and won, 265 to 264!

passing time waiting for food by playing hangman. i couldn’t begin to tally how many rounds of the game we’ve played over the years. odin *almost* stumped us with “OJ”?! must have been glucose deprived. me: “what do you want to read before lights out?” odin: “the dictionary!” we take turns giving each other random words and time each other with a stopwatch to see can find words faster and then read the definition. it’s a fun game and with almost every word both of us learn something new. he’s looking for “zenith” on this round. for now i can usually beat him, but i don’t think that will last for long.day 3860: 27/365 – hangman.
