113/365. the lake superior sauna stones are aging well.
the sauna stones from a secret, undisclosed stretch of yoopers say you can find some of the world’s best sauna stones. after 7 years of getting water tossed on them and throwing off steam, they’re looking great.
snowdeal sauna trivia – the heat shield on the left is left over metal siding from 2004 when organic valley finished its then new headquarters.

we basically didn’t get much of anything out of the garden last year because of her – certainly not any tomatoes. so, now i’m putting fencing around the garden which is why i have 8 eight foot fence posts ( would later realize i need 9 ) and 100 feet of fencing in the jetta wagon. i didn’t think it would fit, but it did! the posts ran to within a few inches of the dashboard which didn’t feel like the greatest idea if i had to make any quick stops.

day 3944 – 110/365. Odin Plays Odin!
he’s standing in the center monologuing! the whole class did a great job in their school play. very proud of them all! while odin isn’t shy standing up in front of a crowd hasn’t been one of his strengths. doubly proud of him for doing in and projecting his voice.
odin in his garb. not quite as impressive without the eye patch ( d’oh! forgot to have him put it on ) but a great costume nonetheless!
109/365. the book that started us down a long, curvy path.
it’s hard to remember exactly when – probably close to 20 years ago – kris bought a 1961 edition of rodale press. she wanted to garden more and wanted to be organic which started us down a path of thinking about where are food comes from which many years later was a big reason why i was very excited to join organic valley ( 9 years ago?! ).
