the first day of spring was a few days ago and with no snow on the ground for some time, lots of folks just put away shovels for the season. of course, mother nature didn’t get the memo about winter being over.

i love the word but it always seemed wasted using it as a name of a fruit. seems more appropriate as a term of mild derision. i.e. you’re such a kumquat!
our ancient voicemail machine that compliments our westinghouse model 500 and uses a physical tape icon while touting “digital answering system”. i’m sure anyone under 30 years old would have trouble identifying the icon. and yes we have a landline without caller id or integrated voicemail. get off my lawn.
give a 10 year old boy a choice in the prize for a clean bill of dental health and he’ll choose the “flarp! noise putty” every time. odin wondered why they didn’t just call it “fart putty”. good question.
