while i was talking on a phone call at work with a lot of participants, the stitches came unstitched and the membrane holding the cadaver bone graft to my mandible popped out. i think i spontaneously muttered something like, “oh [BLEEP], something just fell out my mouth,” to everyone on the call.
it’s not clear if I swallowed the cadaver graft 🙁
soooooo, back to oral surgeon tomorrow. in an uncharacteristic display of restraint I won’t take a picture of membrane.
with a gaping hole in my mouth, i’m back to diet consisting entirely of mushy bananas and yogurt.
still no pain though!
we have soon many black currants ready to be harvested. picked four or five quarts today and there are probably five times that left on the bush!
future black currant compote or jam ( what’s the difference? ).
freshly picked and pitted sour cherries, macerating in sugar and lemon juice for 6 hours.
even after giving frida more than her fair share still ended up with five quarts of delicious raspberries. probably fifteen more quarts yet to be picked!
even as foiled garden thief, she gets more than her fair share of the fruits of labor.
she’s in good spirits as long as i keep flipping her berries 🙂
first harvest from the cherry tree. all those blossoms have turned into lovely cherries! there are still loads of them left on the tree.
i see some sour cherry ice cream in my future.
