16 year old me would be mortified to learn 42 year old me gets together with a group of adults and their children to play music and sing songs. all jokes about me singing “if i only had a brain” will be sent to /dev/null.
we’ve been doing it for years. turns out it’s good, clean fun. the kids enjoy it and it’s a great excuse for me to challenge my inner hermit.
going through old papers and pleased to see the article kris and i wrote with photo I took at altoona tournament was eventually published in our local newspaper a few weeks after we submitted it.
our second published story of the season!
i confess i always wish he’d get a penalty when I’m in the box to open and close the door for players. I love doing it because it offers a great view of the game. odin is number 74, skating by in the center of the photo.
his team easily beat wisconsin dells, 14-0, and are looking unstoppable. lots of passing got viroqua 38 shots on goal!
for 10 years, i’ve wanted to do a “365 project”. one photo a day, for 365 days. i didn’t plan on starting today but there’s no time like the present. we’ll see if I can keep this up.
odin and me in the tomah hockey arena. his team won the tournament. this is right before he started the 3rd game after we’d been at the arena for 7 hours.
one of life’s little pleasures in the driftless region – hanging out at the driftless cafe playing cribbage with kris and odin while waiting for local, organic dinner to be served. the lake louie ipa makes the impending defeat just a little easier.
the cafe is a special place and they have a kickstarter thing going to help fund their expansion. check it out and feel free to kick in a few bucks whether or not you live in the area 🙂
