perfect temperature! soon after taking this after getting nice and toasty, odin and i stepped out and jumped barefoot in the snowbank outside the sauna 🙂

a thought while preparing for tonight’s treehouse movie theater showing of the original ghostbusters.
between the treehouse movie theater, the finnish sauna ( building on left ), the fire pit, and The Girls ( chicken coop on right ), i bet when i finally build the hobbit house treehouse on top of the deck, it will have serious airbnb potential.
i think there are a lot of people who would like a weekend of treehouse movies, saunas and tending to The Girls with the freshest breakfast eggs you can imagine! just kidding. sort of.

144/365. a sauna to celebrate a 14 mile run and 43 trips around the sun.
celebrated my 43rd trip around the sun w/ a 14 mile run. alone. practicing no-mind ( that my preferred birthday activity is a long, solitary run tells you all you need to know about me 🙂 ). then, mad max fury road with kris blew it apart.
ended with a 210°F sauna. all in all, a pretty good day 🙂

the sauna stones from a secret, undisclosed stretch of yoopers say you can find some of the world’s best sauna stones. after 7 years of getting water tossed on them and throwing off steam, they’re looking great.
