two of frida’s favorite things.

the “stay off the couch” training is going really well!
in the sense that frida is training me to stay off the couch 🙂
actually, she does a really good job of staying off the couch. she only gets confused when we randomly ask her to jump up on the couch to sit with us.

frida’s big (spay) day!
frida turned 6 months old a few days ago so we got her a very special gift! a trip to the vet to get spayed!
she thought she was going to “doggie daycare” and was very excited in the car on the way to the vet ( though quite vocal in telling us that we “forgot” to feed her). she was not so happy when she came home. hi. ho. she’ll be happy frida soon enough.
i’m sure it’s a form letter, but the note from the vet on “frida’s big day” was a nice touch, though her ears are down the in picture which means she had figured out that this was not going to be A Fun Day when they snapped the picture.
day 3477: frida is getting sleepy as i read odin some bedtime encyclopedia brown.
frida is getting veeeeeeery sweepy as odin wubs her ears.
jack, a blind miniature pinscher, listening to me making bacon.
Amongst Fellow Dog People there was also jack, who was born blind. he can be a little skittish, especially around men. it took a little bit, but we now get along famously and i think he likes me even when i’m not making bacon ( of course, to make bacon grease for bacon popcorn ).
