189/365. ch ch ch ch ch cherry bomb!
first harvest from the cherry tree. all those blossoms have turned into lovely cherries! there are still loads of them left on the tree.
i see some sour cherry ice cream in my future.
188/365. frida the forlorn foiled garden thief.
i got the 100 or so feet of fencing put in around around the garden to keep out frida the unabashed and unrepentant garden thief right before the raspberries ripened and frida is totally bummed out.
she so loves raspberries ( and everything else in garden ) that i’m surprised she hasn’t dug under the fence.
187/365. a morning run along the chicago lakeshore.
it’s been more than a decade since i’ve lived in chicago and every so often when i visit i get a little nostalgic about the city of brotherly love. an early morning run along the lakeshore is one of those times.
also, holy waaaa, the lake level is the highest i’ve seen it in years.
186/365. wilco towers.
haha, just kidding. it’s actually marina city in chicago but since they were on the cover of wilco’s yankee hotel foxtrot album they are occasionally mistakenly referred to as wilco towers which is just alright by me.
bonus points will be awarded to any chicagoan who knows what building i’m in.

day 4020 – 185/365. road tripping buddies.
heading home after a week on vacation. bringing a cousin home with us. the three of them are packed into the back seat for a 6 hour drive. frida likes to rest her tired head on the center console of the jetta and maybe takes up more than her fair share of space but the humans don’t seem to mind
184/365. fetch with frida and poika on the northern shores of lake michigan.
frida is not normally a fan of playing fetch but when there’s another dog and water involved she clearly enjoys herself.
