i think we might be in the midst of the burst in cognitive capabilities that we’ve heard can occur between 15 and 18 month, which i guess makes sense since odin is 17 months “actual” and 14 months “adjusted”.

quite recently we’ve noticed that – in addition to honing his Food Finding Heuristic, learnin’ lefty loosey, righty tighty and practicing simple shape sorting – he’s also getting quite accurate at picking objects out by their color!

so, although he still seems unmotivated to practice his verbal skills and we’re not sure at what distance he’d still be able to see the objects – at least we know he’s right on track with identifying colors which can be expected by around 18 months 🙂
