the eric update – day 146: saying goodbye to auntie m.

auntie m is heading back to the east coast tommorrow so we trekked back across the state to visit her at odin’s grandparent’s pad ( yes, we might have hummed “over the river and through the woods” while we were on the road. ).

at one point during the visit grandpa snowdeal got the honor of a double fingergrab while auntie m tried the ol’ over the shoulder trick.

add a supersized paci to the mix and i’m not sure what else a growing micropreemie could want.

well, i take that back, as everyone in the room could attest, a growing micropreemie could want food. lots and lots and lots of food.

of course, little odin’s grandparents have pictures of me and auntie m on the fireplace mantle and it’s hard not to get sentimental when i see pictures of us mugging for the camera when we were much, much younger than we are now.

it’s odd to think that the grandparents ( and great grandparents! ) probably feel that only a blink of the eye has passed since i was struggling as a micropreemie to when me and auntie m were being cute on the Big Red Couch at camp to now, when we’re all grown up and watching history repeat itself.
