james burke who wrote and presented one of my favorite tv series, connections ( all the episodes are available online, go watch them! ), was asked in 1973 to predict what 2013 would look like. he got a lot right. so the bbc asked him to predict 2053. mind blowing. an almost unfathomable picture of the near future.
