we took some sparklers with us on our trip to the u.p. so odin, who – of course – was born on the fourth of july, could finally get to experience the fun of holding flaming, sparking things in his very own hands now that was A Very Big Boy.

and, well, we forgot them at home.

so, this evening we finally lit ’em up and odin was suitably impressed at the sight of the sparkly display.

i’ll wait a few years to regale his with tales of my adolescent roman candle wars.
