(not so) deep thought on diesel economics.

as someone who owns a diesel (TDI) jetta and as someone who spends their days analyzing the tremendously complicated and intertwingled factors associated with the supply and demand of organic milk, i can’t help but wonder why, after three or so years of diesel prices being between 25 cents and 75 cents higher than regular gas here in the u.s., suddenly the situation has suddenly reversed to the historical norm ( at least to my best recollection ) of diesel prices being well it’s regular counterpart.

various flim-flammy reasons have been cited over the years as to why diesel prices shot up ( relatively speaking for all those that don’t live here in the states ), but i’ve apparently missed the rational for the reversal of fortunes and why all the previous reasons are no longer swaying the price at the pump. hmmmm….
