sometimes i imagine that unsuspecting newcomers might look at pictures like those from today while scratching their heads and asking themselves quietly why on earth i’m taking multiple photos of odin taking a tub.

of course, long time visitors know that odin’s transformation into a regular tubber is quite something to behold, since it really wasn’t too long ago that he was getting his first bath.

we still use the diaper trick during his tubs; i’m not much of a tubber myself, but he really does seem to enjoy floating in the water, which is a trait that he most definately inherited from his mamma.

after being all calm and content, he’ll often enjoy spending a time practicing moving around and kicking his legs.

sometimes he really starts to get into it and i wonder what the experience must be like for him. does he already really enjoy the tub. or is his little motor cortex just on autopilot and doing the things that it needs to do to make him into a happy, healthy baby?

and if he doesn’t enjoy it in a strict sense of the word, i wonder as i snap the picture, on what day will he? day 352?

does the ability to enjoy a tub happen instantaneously? or is it a cumulative thing, involving incrementally getting accustomed to odd sensations that aren’t painful?
