so, the day started out with odin’s preschool being closed due to taking a snow day. the forecast called for "just" 6 or so inches when odin and i set about shoveling some of the white stuff before heading out to organic valley to meet mamma for lunch ( hmmmm. how many people know that both kris and i work for the world’s best organic cooperative 🙂 )? we should have checked the forecast before leaving because while we were shoveling they changed the forecast and issued an alert for more accumulation with periods of heavy snow fall. the ride home was, um, tricky but all of us eventually made it back safe and sound.

according to the hwy department, larry the plow guy was taking a break during the heavy snow – wish we knew that before attempting the hilly, curvy drive home!
