autumn has definitely arrived which means it’s time for a brand new hat made with love by mamma.

some folks might recall the very stylish green cap two years ago, and the fun last year’s orange cap with the ear flaps.

as in past years, he picked out the yarn and was very emphatic that he didn’t want ear flaps ( for reasons that he wouldn’t disclose ) and was even more emphatic that he really simply must have a pom-pon atop the cap.

i think the pom-pon was a great creative addition, but i’m really hoping i can wear down his determination and get him to agree to some ear flaps ’cause they’re just to dang cute.
