phew! we were a few yards short of sand to begin with but another dump truck load took care of that. and after framing the site in with some plywood and stakes we were ready to begin tamping the sand down to provide a firm foundation for the concrete pad.

luckily i’m in like flynn with someone who owns a mechanical "jumping jack" tamper which got the sand compacted right quick.
