ah yes, what better way to spend your ninth wedding anniversary than watching 5 gallons of vinegar slowly drip, drip, drop out of your non-functioning water heater in the hopes that the vinegar would slowly dissolve the eight inches of calcium carbonate that had built up in the bottom of the heater due to a lack of proper maintenance by prior homeowners. fun! not.

sure, i could have just bought a shiny, new water heater and prevented us from not having hot water for 4 days, but what better way to remind my wife what a bull-headed husband she married 🙂
