sigh. two years ago, the merry-go-round was the pinnacle of excitement at a fair. now, it barely registers a blip on the fun-time radar, only good perhaps for watching the fair go round in the mirrors on center of the contraption. hi. ho. we still had lots of fun at the crawford county fair.

I hope there’s some vinegar on those fries!
Hi. This is my first time actually leaving a comment on your blog. My name is Kelly. I’m an American living in Madrid, Spain, and I blog over at Spain Dad, a baby blog (spaindad.blogspot.com).
Anyway, my parents recently visited from Iowa, and we took them and our nine-month-old daughter Alleke to the amusement park here in Madrid.
We were almost on the opposite end of the experience than you because Alleke’s just a little too young yet to even ride on the merry-go-round. We kept feeling like we should put her on a ride, so she could have some fun, but in the end, the part she liked best was pulling out grass while we ate our picnic lunch 🙂
I’m sure next year she’ll be ready for some of those kiddy rides.
Love your photos, by the way!
