typically when it’s time to clip odin’s fingernails – which somehow seem to be ready for trimming nearly every day – we follow the advice to only attempt the grooming act when he’s sound asleep and apparently oblivious to the fact that we’re torturing him.
but every so often we try and see if his fear of clippers has abated with the passing of time.
apparently that time has not yet arrived.
we try to convince odin that it’s much safer to trim his nails in the daytime rather than use his tender fingers to hone our ability to clip them in the dark, but he doesn’t seem to think much of our argument.
perhaps an irrational fear of fingernail and toenail clipping is genetically determined, since i do know that at least one of his parents abhored the concept.
