welcome to another installment of the very occasional series on our littlest scientist.

while odin has been enjoying his mobile for 178 days up until today, he’s been content to sit and smile as the mobile turned in slow circles above his on the changing table.

but today he figured out that his legs are now long enough to kick the mobile! what fun! i watched in amazement as he figured out how to time his kicks to get the best effect as i wondered how this new found fun was going to alter the diaper changing dynamic.

and then after having his fun kicking the mobile around, he quickly discerned that he could stop the mobile with his foot, making it far easier to grap it with his hand!

and what piece did he choose to grab first?

well, of course, the one with the smiley face on the bottom that’s been making him laugh day after day over the past couple of months.
