one of my christmas presents to myself was getting spamassasin working on cornerhost. although conceptually a simple thing to do, i needed a little helpful troubleshooting support from michal at cornerhost as to why i couldn’t get procmail to do its magic. as usual, it was something dopey that i had done.
but i made it over that hurdle, and i am very happy to report that spamassasin is doing its thing very, very, very well. it hasn’t missed a single piece of span over the past day nor has it marked anything as a false positive. so i haven’t had to look at a single piece of junk in 24 hours. i feel like i’ve reclaimed my inbox, since thunderbird’s bayesian classifiers were only catching about half of the spam.
i think i’ll give kris the gift of a spamfree inbox as well. i’m sure she’ll like that more than the powertools that i already got for me her.
