the eric update – day 271: odin’s spring collection.

if you’re a parent and you have a bricks and mortar gymboree store near you, then chances are you might have already browsed the pickings during their super mega 70% off blowout sale. i think we were able to purchase more than enough spring and summer outfits for odin for about two bucks. o.k. maybe just a bit more, but not much.

while the gymboree clothes are perfectly adequate, we’ve noticed there’s not much variation in boy’s clothes styles amongst the bigger box clothing outlets, with all of them pretty much the same styles – endless varieties of amouflage, trucks, sports and “future rock star” shirts and matching pants. surely, there must be other options for boys clothes that are fun and individualistic, but don’t cost a fortune ( as much as i like the red balloon company, i don’t think i’ll ever spend $50 on a wonderboy “coolio” shirt ).

daddytypes has a nice starting point ( hmmmm. a google onesie for $11.75! ), but there must be others.

oh, and yes, he’s sporting a new hat.
